Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us, especially because mental health is personal. This policy explains, in plain language, what information this website collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This website (msc.jo) is operated by Mais Samhoury Center, legally registered as Idrak for Mental Health, located in Abdoun, Nawaf Al-Qadi St., Amman, Jordan 11183. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to the center.
What this website collects
We keep data collection to a minimum. The website itself has no user accounts, no database, and no advertising or analytics trackers.
- Booking form: the details you type (name, profession, phone and WhatsApp numbers, country, preferred date and specialist, and any note) are not stored on our website. When you press Submit, WhatsApp opens with your details filled in, and nothing is sent until you send the message yourself.
- “Find your specialist” questions: your answers are processed only in your own browser to show a suggestion. They are not sent to us or saved.
- Language preference: your browser remembers whether you chose English or Arabic, using local storage on your device. You can clear it anytime from your browser settings.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) may automatically log basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use your information
When you contact us through WhatsApp or by phone, we use your details only to reply to you, arrange and confirm appointments, match you with a suitable specialist, and follow up on your care. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
A note about WhatsApp
Messages sent through WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy policy. To protect your privacy, please don’t share detailed clinical or personal information in your first message. Your specialist will talk through everything with you privately.
Confidentiality of your care
Everything you share in sessions is confidential. Clinical records are kept separately from this website, are accessible only to the professionals involved in your care, and are handled in line with professional ethics and applicable Jordanian law, including the Personal Data Protection Law. As in all mental health care, confidentiality has limited legal and ethical exceptions, for example when there is a serious risk to someone’s safety or when disclosure is required by law. Your specialist will explain these at the start of your care.
Third-party services
This website uses Google Fonts to display text and an embedded Google Map to show our location. When these load, Google may receive your IP address. The site also links to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages, which have their own privacy policies.
Children and teenagers
Appointments for anyone under 18 should be booked by a parent or legal guardian.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where the law allows. You can also withdraw your consent to being contacted. Just reach out to us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
